Floors can be left alone and never touched for many years. The dirtiest of floors can be refinished and salvaged to their original state. This home had never had its floor refinished in over 40 years! This refinish project was in Nampa Idaho. The results were wonderful and had the homeowner in awe – they wished they refinished 15 years prior. The interesting part is they thought the floors were going to need to be replaced!

Our process to refinish this floor is as follows:
- belt sand 40 grit
- vacuum
- fill
- edge with 80 girt
- trio at 60 grit
- vacuum
- trio 100 girt
- edge 100 grit
- vacuum
- Finish coats
The finish used on this was a waterbased coating but is cured with UV light. The finish specifically used on this house was SunFinish. SunFinish looks wonderful on red oak. The sheen was a semi-gloss. The homeowners had their shoes on, dog in the house and furniture within minuets of our company being done.
