Sheoga Hickory is a very classy and wonderful wood. Sheoga is a manufacturer who has very strict standards on their wood and truly has some of the best wood to work with. You can tell the difference between Sheoga Hickory and another brands. Sheoga is a brand that sets standards.
This installation of Sheoga was 900 sq. ft in Meridian, Idaho. The installation took 3 days and the finishing of the wood took another 2. The whole wood floor project took 5 days start to finish. The finish used on this floor was a satin made by Arboritec. The finish was a UV product called UVElite that dries instantly and lets the homeowners use their floor after we leave. Their dog used it even before we let!
The sanding process used:
- 40 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 60 grit trio
- 80 grit edge
- vacuum
- 100 grit edge
- 100 grit edge
- vacuum
- 3 coats of finish
