Red birch is a very beautiful wood that has tons of patterns and an overall warm tone to it. The homeowners wanted to get rid of previous water damage, sun damage and have all the scratches take out. The homeowner absolutely loved the finished result and was so happy to have the orange “look” gone from this red birch flooring.
Finishing process used for this floor:
- 60 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 80 grit edger
- 100 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 100 grit edger
- 100 grit trio
- vacuum
- 3 coats of finish
The After Pictures:
The finish used was an UV product by Arboritec that dries instantly via a UV light and the furniture was put back onto the floor the next day! The rugs were also put back the next day.
