A couple who was originally from Washington had bought a condo in downtown Boise. They wanted to remodel the condo that originally had carpet throughout to a more modern look. They decided to choose Brazilian cherry due to its very modern/classy look that matched the theme they were shooting for.
The condo was a concrete sub floor which meant that preparation was needed. A glue down was mandatory to make sure no moisture would come through the concrete to the wood. Moisture is the #1 cause of damage to hardwood flooring. With excessive moisture the floor will begin to bend, move, warp or cup.
