This couple had just been transferred here to Boise from Georgia for their job. They bought a house that was near Barber Park and wanted to have their wood refinished as well as some wood added and then all of the hardwood floor stained. The wood they had was the classic red oak #1 and that is exactly what we laced in to match the previous hardwood. When the project started the floor was in okay shape but no where near perfect as you would expect. Below are the pictures from the beginning of the project.

Conclusion
As always with the red oak and the water popping which makes for the perfect staining process the floor came out beautiful and the customer absolutely loved the final product. The whole floor was evenly stained and took very well. The color did come out darker than the client anticipated but the customers appeared to like it even more than the color they thought it would be. (note: stain will appear darker when you have the whole floor stained vs 1 3×3 test area.) The finish looked marvelous and was perfect for a satin finish.
