One of the most elegant woods in hardwood flooring could be Walnut. The grain pattern, the dark colors and its overall place in history might give it the top spot. The downfall of walnut is that it is a softer wood than other woods making it hard to have with kids, pets and lots of traffic. However, if you can take care of it, the wood is timeless and beautiful.
Recently, A-Max Hardwood installed walnut hardwood flooring at a residence here in Boise. If you were wondering what is looks like you can see below.
The stairs were done prior to installation and cut to fit perfectly. By creating the stairs in 1 solid piece and cutting them down gives the illusion the stairs are 1 piece of wood with no seams, it looks fantastic. It also allows the stair to have a perfect finish product vs some possible edges in the corners.
