The floor hadn’t been redone since the house was built 10~ years ago in Meridian, Idaho. The finish was a Oil/Poly and had turned so yellow the floor almost looked like a dirty birch instead of a clean maple. The homeowners were wanting a finish that would last the test of time and not yellow. UV SunFinish is the finish that will allow just that, no yellowing and is extremely durable. As you can see below the floor looks virtually clear and has a nice 20-25 gloss level, or eggshell finish. The pictures can be found below as well as our sanding process for the maple floor.
The After Pictures:
The Process Of Sanding Maple:
- 40 grit belt sand

- 100 grit trio

The process to get finish up is rather easy, the challenge in a house like this is the pull, or putting the finish down. No corners or cut off points met correctly in this house, The only way to make sure it looked perfect was speed to make sure the coating never flashed/dried. In the end the homeowners were very happy with the transformation!!!
