This property is a house that is in the historical district of Nampa, Idaho and will soon be home of a very skilled quilt shop. The shop is Bluebird Quilt Studio, check them out if you want some awesome quilt products. The house had red oak hardwood flooring throughout the 2nd floor and the kitchen was a Douglas Fir. The floor had never been taken care of for more than 50 years and had recent flood damage. Some of the gapping was over 1/8″ and some nearing 1/4″ gaps.
Below are the before pictures:
Over 8 gallons of waterbased fill from duraseal was used on this floor to get rid of the gapping and make it seamless. Our sanding process is below:
- 40 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- fill
- 60 grit trio
- 80 grit edge
- vacuum
- 100 grit edge

You will notice a picture of some awesome tile work by Brad from Merit Construction in Nampa. Great job Brad!
The finish used on this job was Arboritec UVElite. Due to time constraints we had to have this 1200 sq. ft. job completed in 2 days and with the ability of the contractor being able to be back on the floor painting. No other finish besides UV finish would allow for this to happen.
