The Northend is a wonderful place to live in Boise. This areas has some rich culture and some wonderful houses that are sure to please any eye. This specific house is a 6,000 sq. ft. house that is currently under renovations. The homeowner wanted to install red oak in his kitchen area to compliment the other hardwood areas in the main living quarters. The current hardwood floors are Douglas Fir and were in horrible shape, the owner absolutely hated them. It was decided the wood needed to continue the same direction the Douglas Fir was currently going in to ensure the kitchen did not become to narrow looking. Fortunately the fir was on top of sub flooring so this was a possibility!
