A-Max’s job was to do a refinish of the older, polyurethane and sun damaged floor. The homeowner was worried we would not be able to refinish the floor back to its original beauty it had 15 years prior. The polyurethane finish that should have probably been refinished after 5 years was no longer apparent in some wear paths and the wood was grey. We reassured the homeowners that the wood would once again be the talking point of their house and show stunning beauty.
Below are the before pictures of the Red Oak Floor.
The sanding process used was:
- 40 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 60 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 60 grit trio
- vacuum
- 80 grit edge
- 100 grit trio
- vacuum
- Sealer/finish coats
The end product was absolutely stunning. The red oak coupled with the dark counter tops and white cabinets was great. The homeowners were absolutely thrilled with the end product.
