This refinish was for a #2 red oak wood floor. The floor was in pretty bad shape and needed to be refinished. The oil finish from prior was wearing thin and virtually not even there. When finish wears thin you will start to see grey or dirt start to collect in the grains. You can see the before pictures of the hardwood floor below:
The floor was refinished using the following steps:
- 40 grit belt sand
- vacuum
- 60 grit trio
- 80 grit edger
- vacuum
- 100 grit trio

The finish applied on this job was our UV finish by SunFinish. The finish by SunFinish is the clearest on the market and looks phenomenal on oak flooring. You are able to see mirror like reflections in the finish and the grains are very present, not muted in the slightest. If you want to read more about UV finishes you can here.
